You can carry it in a quart-sized liquid bag. You can pack peanut butter in a can, and then you must let the quart bag pass through the X-ray machine to be screened.
You will find peanut butter only above the jar limit as I couldn’t find 3.4 ounces (100 ml), so I packed some out of peanut butter squeeze packs.
